Question: The cellulite I have on my thighs and buttocks is really getting on my nerves. I should be able to walk around in a bathing suit proudly every summer, but it’s always my cellulite giving me grief. A friend of mine, who also happens to work at my tanning salon, recommended something called Cellu-Sculpt the other day. Is it worth a shot?

Answer: Cellu-Sculpt is an Avon product, which is a well known health and beauty company. The product is said to reduce dimpling and firm the skin. The ingredients are all natural, and include gingko biloba, Ginseng, and Chaihu. Unfortunately, Avon does not disclose the complete ingredient list, nor is there evidence that the cream actually works.

As far as giving it a shot, the average consumer could certainly afford to. It is a very affordable product. One 16.7oz tube is only $16, which is significantly less than similar products on the market. That, coupled with Avon’s reputation, is already two positives to take note of when making a decision to try the product. Keep in mind, however, that there is no clinical evidence proving you will see results, nor does Avon offer a free trial or samples to stand by the product. Your best bet is to try proper diet and exercise first. Sometimes a little extra toning and resistance training on the problematic area will do more than a cream. Good luck!
