Tips for Beautiful Eyebrows – A Manicure for Your Face

Between the media and your social life, there’s a lot of pressure to constantly strive for a commercial definition of beauty. Of course, the only way to truly be and feel beautiful is to recognize and celebrate the things that you like most about yourself. Who cares what the models are wearing? If you don’t feel comfortable and like you’re being true to yourself, you’re not going to feel beautiful, and others will be able to pick up on your anxiety. Part of truly feeling attractive starts with simply keeping your appearance neat and clean. If you’re tired of unruly eyebrows crowded your beautiful eyes, here are some tips for keeping them in control.

Tips for Beautiful Eyebrows – A Manicure for Your FaceThe first beauty tip that you have to keep in mind about sculpting your eyebrows is that the hairs aren’t going to come out willingly, and because your face and eye area is covered in very sensitive skin, it’s important that you prepare the hair follicles to cooperate with you as easily as possible. Before you start to tweeze, warm up your face (literally) by taking a hot shower or pressing a warm, damp wash cloth all over your face. This will help the hair follicles to open up and release the hairs without so much tugging.

One of the hardest parts of getting a lovely eyebrow arch is figuring out where the eyebrows should start and end on your face. Get it right, and your eyebrows will be the picture of beauty, get it wrong, and you’re likely to give your face an odd appearance by making its features look too far apart or too close together. The best method for determining the path of you eyebrow is to hold a pencil up vertically as measurement.

Holding the pencil upright from the middle of your nostril to your eye area will show you where the eyebrow should start. Any stray hairs too far past this boundary (above the bridge of your nose) should be plucked immediately. Next, hold the pencil upright on your cheek so that the end crosses over your iris. This is where the highest part of your eyebrow arch should be. Then, hold the pencil on the diagonal from the corner of your nose to the outside corner of your eye area. This is where the end of your eyebrow should be. There is more to beauty than what meets the eye, but it doesn’t hurt if the eye is accompanied by perfect eyebrows!
